Sonya Salkin Slott, the founding and senior partner of the firm, received her training as part of the bankruptcy and restructuring department in 1986 at the firm of Smathers, Thompson, Kelley, Drye, & Warren in Miami. In starting her own firm in 1993, Ms. Slott was determined to create a bankruptcy boutique with the experience and skill to rival large law firms, but with a level of efficiency and affordability that large firms can rarely offer.
The Salkin Law Firm has represented corporate and individual debtors and creditors, bankruptcy trustees and state court receivers as well as representing avoidance action defendants. The firm has served as counsel in cases spanning many industries- including healthcare, retail, manufacturing, and transportation. We have represented clients in connection in cases ranging in value from relatively small amounts to multimillions of dollars.
